Where Can I Grow Cannabis in the United States?
Where can you grow cannabis in the United States?
If you have a green thumb AND you love to smoke weed then perhaps you’ve considered growing your own garden of beautifully dank marijuana plants. Of the 38 states and four U.S. territories where some form of cannabis consumption is legal, 22 of them allow for private cannabis cultivation with no restrictions on whether use is for medicinal or recreational purposes.
Most recently, the fine state of Hawai’i officially became the 22nd state in the United States to unlock the finger shackles from its aspiring cannabis green thumbs. Cannabis connoisseurs can legally grow their own weed at home if they so desire. Hi-five Hawai’i!!!
UPDATE:
The full legalization bill in Hawai’i hit a roadblock. After unanimously passing in the Senate, the House Finance committee killed the bill for the year. Boo. Those guys and gals need to light up some Tokyo Kong #4 and realize what they’re depraving their citizens of.
If you live in Illinois, South Dakota, Washington state, or Oklahoma, you are only able to cultivate cannabis for medicinal use. Boo for all you “budding” recreational home growers in those states.
